BRINGING OUR VISION TO LIFE

Aspiration

We aspire to be one of the best clubs in the UK. We work to provide an inclusive, family-friendly, family-oriented club where all swimmers grow & develop. We endeavour to build a workforce that will support us in realising our vision.

Brilliance

We aim for our swimmers to learn, be ambitious, work hard, have fun, & be the very best that they can be. We will always ensure the national kitemarks (e.g. Swim mark), we are recognised as a safe club & have a skilled & qualified workforce. We will carve out pathways to promote lifelong participation in swimming & aquatics.

Character

We provide an environment that welcomes diversity & values all individuals. We want to build our swimmers' character with strength & resilience & are willing to learn in order to help them succeed.

Rickmansworth Swimming Club was established in September 2023. We are a new club but we continue to grow & succeed.

Where We Swim

We have access to a variety of local, high quality pools providing great facilities, flexibility & convenience.

Our venues

Our coaching workforce & volunteers will…

  • Recognise each swimmer is unique, has talents & abilities

  • Raise the performance bar with every swimmer

  • Help everyone reach their potential with effective strategies & actions

Our coaches will…

  • Meet Swim England Standards

Meet the Swim England expectations for coaching & be willing to engage in coach learning & development activities.

  • Plan, Coach & Develop

Prepare & implement the annual training programme by planning coaching sessions focusing on the quality of their stroke, skill & overall development as athletes.

  • Work Hard, Play Hard

Ensure the swimmer-athlete approach is at the heart of coaches’ work. This includes how the coaches interact with & engage with swimmers, ensuring they enjoy their sessions but work hard too.
